WHY PEOPLE PLAY
Word puzzle games can test vocabulary, deduction, or the ability to see how letters connect. The best format depends on the kind of problem you want right now: transform a known word, uncover a hidden answer, or construct a chain that uses an entire board.
These are not speed-reading tests. A short word can support a surprisingly deep decision tree, especially when every move must remain valid and each clue rules out several possibilities at once.
Three ways to think with words
Word Ladders reward route-finding through vocabulary. Word Deduction rewards careful clue accounting, including the exact number of repeated letters. Letter Loop combines word knowledge with board coverage: every accepted word must help the chain reach letters that are still unused.
