A BETTER FIRST MOVE
Work from both ends.
Do not chase the target one letter at a time without a route. Compare the start and finish first: which positions already match, and which letters must change? Then imagine useful words one step away from the target. A strong middle word often connects both halves of the ladder.
If you reach a dead end, undo early. Preserving a familiar word family can feel safe, but it may leave no legal final change.
