THE CORE LOOP

How these puzzles work.

  1. 01

    Read the top layers

Only an exposed run can move, so inspect what each pour reveals before choosing a source tube.

  2. 02

    Make a legal pour

Move a color into an empty tube or onto the same exposed color when the destination has enough room.

  3. 03

    Complete every stack

The puzzle is solved when each non-empty tube contains one color from top to bottom.

WHY PEOPLE PLAY

Color sort puzzle games turn a set of mixed tubes into a planning problem. Each move is easy to understand: pour an exposed color into a compatible tube. The challenge comes from order. One pour opens a layer, occupies working space, and changes which matches are available next.

The format is often called a water sort or liquid sort puzzle, but the useful strategy is the same: preserve spare capacity, combine exposed matches, and avoid burying a color under a stack you cannot reopen.

Empty space is part of the solution

An empty tube is not wasted space. It is a temporary destination that lets you reach buried layers and reorganize partial stacks. Before filling one, check whether another tube can take over that role. When the board tightens, the most valuable move is often the one that creates a new empty container.

SpillD expands the familiar sorting loop into a 240-level offline campaign with nine chapters, one-to-three-star results, daily puzzles, achievements, rescue tools, and later modifiers such as locked tubes and frozen segments. Its Android edition has been submitted to Google Play and will be linked here as soon as the public listing is verified.

PLAY SMARTER

Four decisions that improve your game.

Protect one flexible tube

Empty space lets you uncover buried colors and reverse a poor sequence. Filling every tube too early removes that freedom.

Consolidate exposed matches

Combining the same top color can free a tube and reduce the number of partial stacks competing for space.

Check what the pour reveals

A legal move can still be unhelpful. Prefer pours that uncover a useful match or create a complete stack.

Delay the final segment

Finishing one tube feels productive, but its remaining capacity may be the workspace needed to untangle the rest.

PLAY IT IN SPILLD

A full game built around the idea.

The Android edition adds nine chapters, daily puzzles, achievements, power-ups, and persistent local progress.

QUICK ANSWERS

Common questions.

What is a color sort puzzle game?

It is a logic puzzle where layered colors move between containers until every non-empty tube holds one complete color.

When can I pour a color in SpillD?

The destination must be empty or show the same color on top, and it must have enough capacity for the legal exposed run.

Are color sort and water sort puzzles the same?

They usually share the same core idea—separating layered colors between tubes—but individual games may use different visuals, capacities, obstacles, and scoring rules.

Can I play SpillD offline?

Yes. The submitted Android edition includes a 240-level campaign designed for offline play, with progress and active puzzles saved locally.
