A timer changes the question a puzzle asks. Instead of only finding a strong move, you must also find it quickly. That can be exciting, but it is not always the kind of challenge you want from a short break or a difficult logic board.

The seven picks below remove the countdown while keeping a real failure state or efficiency target. Some runs end when space disappears; others measure moves, route quality, or whether the board can still be solved.

This is not a claim that every mode in every listed game is untimed. Each entry identifies the exact experience we checked and explains what creates pressure in place of a clock.
