Trace asks you to cross all 25 tiles exactly once, moving only up, down, left, or right. You start on lime, finish on pink, and choose every step in between.
With no clues, too many routes look equally plausible. With a clue on every turn, the puzzle becomes paint-by-numbers. Three anchors leave room to explore while giving each board a shape you can reason about.
Every daily puzzle is generated from a complete route first. The numbered tiles are then placed on that route, so their steps always agree with at least one solution.
